About The Little Wayfarers
There are two kinds of people who become obsessed with travel during a global lockdown. Those who bought a Peloton. And those who spent two years building a spreadsheet of all the places they would go once the world opened back up.
We were always travelers — the kind who'd book a flight the way other people make dinner reservations. Then we had twins, the world shut down, and suddenly we couldn't even take them to a restaurant. It turned out that staying home indefinitely, with two babies and nowhere to go, was a specific kind of madness.
So we waited. We researched. And the moment our kids could watch a full episode of Peppa Pig — proof they could be entertained for a transatlantic flight — we took them to Dublin, Amsterdam, and Copenhagen. They were three. They were fine. We were better than fine.
Sixteen countries with our six year olds later — this site exists because the resources we needed – didn't. Not a blog about surviving travel with kids. Not luxury trips dressed up as "family friendly." Just honest, well-researched guides for parents who work hard, want their money to go as far as possible and really want the trip to be worth it — for everyone.
